Is it possible to play the same song simultaneously on the echo speaker and my Sonos speaker? Essentially using the echo as another “Sonos” speaker in the group?

You want Echo and Sonos to play together? I certainly don't think so, but maybe I missed that?
No. Echo will not sync with Sonos.
It was my moment of disappointment to find that I have two multi room speaker systems, able to communicate together, but not play together. Surely, one of the big attractions of a multi room speaker system is that you can play ALL speakers at once, in sync? Is there a possible update to enable this, or is it a never never wish?
I would say it is a never wish. Sonos' synching scheme is far different than Amazon's.

This is sad as I thought I would be able to have my old Sonos as a 5th speaker along with my other echo devices. Thanks for the original post.
