I have a new Bose Smart Speaker that can use either Alexa or Google Assist. I am getting two Sonos soundbars and several speakers installed this Saturday. Can my Smart Speaker connect with the Sonos equipment I am getting?

Sounds like you own a Bose Home Speaker.

All Bose Home Speaker devices support Apple’s AirPlay 2, and so do all the latest Sonos speakers.

If you have an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, you should be able to group them together using AirPlay 2, allowing you to play music on both Bose and Sonos speakers simultaneously.

Edit: In case you have an Apple device, here’s a video on how to use AirPlay: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=b4lp4o9WuF4
