Hello. It seems like many on here, for some years I’ve been been happily playing Amazon Music on my 2 Sonos Ones and Era100. I could ask it to play a playlist, and it would continuously play till I asked it to stop. About 2-3 weeks ago it started playing a playlist but then stopped after the first track. Soon after that it stopped playing any music requested by Alexa. I can still request Alexa to do other things e.g. weather forecast, set thermostat, lights etc but as for music, nada.

I’ve tried some of the useful advice I’ve found on here, e.g. re-authorizing Sonos to play Music etc, but am a bit nervous about wiping out the few features I still have if I de-install everything. At the moment it feels a bit like I have one expensive Bluetooth speaker and 2 paper weights! Any advice (preferably at idiot level!) would be much appreciated.

Regards Steve

I suggest that you disable the Sonos skill and then re-enable it in the Alexa App.  If you encounter any issues with re-enabling the Sonos skill, then please remove the Amazon shopping App and retry. Once you've Enabled the Sonos skill and linked your two accounts, please reinstall the Amazon shopping App.

Yes, many thanks, this worked! I thought I’d tried it already, but may have got lost in the welter of different possibilities I was trying. Fortunately didn’t have to remove the Amazon app, as it would have been more than my life’s worth if I had lost this!

Alexa is a very clunky app, facility etc but just happens to be more convenient than not having it. I don’t think Siri is a real alternative (?). Anyway very grateful to have access back again and to be able to bask in my music as I fell asleep last night! Regards
