4 Sonos speakers

 throughout the house have worked perfectly two years. We use Alexa. Good connection. All speakers work Alexa responds I can look up anything I want and Alexa answers. On my music I ask Alexa to play an artist Alexa confirmsand she ends her sentence with “what would you like to hear next”. On my app I can see the song playing my sound bars the volumes everything but there’s no music coming out of my speakers. No matter what music I ask for, Alexa will confirm And then says “what would you like to hear next”

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with playback on your Sonos system.

What happens when you initiate playback directly from the Sonos app, does it still show that something is playing but without audio or does it work as normal? 

If it only happens when you use Alexa, I’d first recommend you remove and re-all the Sonos skill in the Alexa app. If that doesn’t help, then try removing Alexa from Sonos and also removing the Sonos skill and Sonos speakers from the Alexa app. Once fully removed, add Alexa back to the Sonos app and follow the steps provided.

If you can’t get any audio no matter how you start the playback, I’d suggest rebooting your system by powering off your Router → Additional networking equipment → Sonos Speakers → and controller running the Sonos app for one to two minutes in that order. Try starting playback when the system is fully back online and if it doesn’t resolve the issue, it would be best to contact our support team.
