X14 linking to Sonos

Hi there was a post a few years ago about issues linking X14 and Sonos. There was a solution but it was noted on any of the relies.

Can any one remember what the solution was as I’m having the same issues with the X14. X10 was never a problem but upgraded as X10 is at the end of its life.

Thanks.

What is an X-14? Does it have some sort of manufacturer?

CocktailAudio X14.

My guess…

Was it something like this connection to the X10…🤔?

Presumably you just need to change the path to suit whatever is in use by X14… looks like this (possibly)…

//X14/MusicDB

See this Sonos support link too…

I thought the same //X14 etc but no joy.

Will have a look at the Sonos support page for ideas.
Hoping who ever had the issue a year or so back might see my question and have some advice as well as your suggestion.

I found the user manual…

(Setting up the samba share starts around page 50).

Ken thanks

Tried all that first.

Coming to the conclusion the database is not right when I imported from the X10 and converted.

will give it another go tomorrow but if no luck with contact X14 supplier as it must be a set up that I’ve got wrong.

You could also likely do a Google search for the post here in the forums. While this boards own search is atrocious, rather frequently, they don’t tend to delete items, just close them, so if you read it before, it’s likely still here.
