Using Trueplay outside of the surround sound area

I have a Sonos arc, sub and 2SLs in a surroundsound system. My system is in the middle of a long room. To the right side of the viewing area is my kitchen and to the left side of the viewing area is a private area for conversation. So this is my question. When I’m using Trueplay to tune the sound should I remain within the surroundsound area or should I wander outside of it into the kitchen or into the additional sitting area, (both of which are outside of the surroundsound speakers)?

Sonos recommend covering as much of the room as possible, not just the surround sound area - see this link:
