Using 2 Rays connected to an outdoor TV

Thanks in advance, my searches left me more confused than when I began.

I have a RAY connected to an outdoor TV setup over a hot tub. The jets are loud and it’s tough to hear when they are on. I bought another RAY to get more bang. My question is… there is only one optical port on the TV. If I get a 2x splitter and hook both bars into that will it make both of them work simultaneously?

It’s debatable, since there is likely a minimum amount of light needed to ‘tickle’ the electronics. If I were to try this, I’d probably want to get a powered splitter, that generated the same signal on both paths, not just split the mount of light in half. And having never wanted to do this, I’ve never looked to see if such a device even exists.

It sure seems like Sonos speakers can play pretty loud as it is, although I’ve not owned a Sonos Ray. But I’m not sure that a second Ray would make the sound that much louder so that it would drown out the hot tub.
