Sonos volume from CD vs. WAV/FLAC

I recently introduced a Brennan B3 media player to my Sonos systems.

Previously I used a “JukeBox” CD player to send analog signals to a Connect and later a Port onwards to Sonos. The Brennan sends WAV/FLAC etc. directly to Sonos not requiring a Port. It outputs the signal via USB to my network and hence Sonos.

Is it me? But I’m noticing a reduced volume on many of my ripped CDs, I’m going to try playing the content of the same CD on the B3 CD player and listen if it's different.

Anyone able to throw light on this issue.

You're comparing apples with oranges. The level from an analog Line-In will depend on multiple factors, not least the output level of the source device and the input sensitivity of the Port/Connect.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, that’s what I suspected.
