Sonos Speaker Use Between Two Households

I currently have an existing Sonos system in my home.  For the next couple of months, I will be staying at a second location.  I’m thinking of buying a new speaker to use in the new location, but then adding it to my existing home system when I leave the second location. Would this be possible to do?  I want to avoid bringing one of my existing speakers to the new location because the last time I tried it (several years ago), it was a cumbersome process.

This is not a problem.  At your new location, you would just setup the new speaker under the same user account, but different household (or completely different account, doesn’t matter).  When you leave the 2nd location and return the first location, I would do a factory reset on the new speaker and add it the same as you would any new speaker.

Thanks for the response, melvimbe! I decided to make the purchase based on your answer.
