Sonos on mobile Hotspot

i am planning to buy Sonos play 5, only issue is i don't have broadband at home, i normally tether using my phone if i need internet, can anyone suggest best way to utilise sonos play 5 100% without forking out 30-40£ a month for internet service which i will hardly use.

    There is no reason why your mobile phone can't provide the LAN Sonos needs to operate. You will need to set up in Standard mode because you won't be able to connect to the network by Ethernet. You won't be able to use your phone as a controller but a cheap Amazon Fire tablet would do the job.

    A slightly better variation with greater flexibility would be to get a travel router as well. Travel routers can connect to any wifi, including that provided by your phone. But if you were listening to local content you would not need the phone to provide the LAN.
