I have an Oticon TV adapter that bluetooths to my hearing aids that uses a TosLink optical cable. I need to extract audio from the Sonos Beam which only has an HDMI ARC connection to my Sony Bravia TV HDMI ARC port. I bought an HDMI switch with ARC feature and TosLink out connection and am wondering how to get it to work with the Beam. I put the HDMI from the Beam into the switch “IN” and connected a “high speed” HDMI to “OUT” and then into HDMI ARC port on TV. Also tried the opposite but does not work either way.  Any ideas?

Hi. I am afraid I don't understand what you are trying to do.  You cannot extract sound from the Beam. It is a speaker with a single input connection and no output connections.  It just plays what it is sent.
