Connecting mediaplayer to five

Hi,

I consider to connect a media player  “NewHank Playmate mediaspeler” to a Sonos stereo pair, this would allow me to connect CD player and a mic to that device. Would this setup work well?

Thanks for your help.

Connecting will work. When using it with a microphone I would be bothered by the inevitable delay.

This depends on what you want to achieve. Remember the use of an analogue in on Sonos will result in 75ms delay.

Hi thanks for your answer. What I want to achieve? By connecting this device (mixer) I’m able to connect other devices to that mixer and than I can connect multiple devices to the sonos 5 five.

make sense?

Thanks but isn’t that always the case using a mic on any device because it has to convert to digital?

No, analog-to-digital conversion is not the cause of the 75ms delay.

The need to be able to sync the signal across multiple ‘rooms’ across Wi-Fi.
