Sonos roam/sonos S2

How do i update my sonos roam so it can be used with sonos S2 app ? All i get is that its not registered an do cant update remove or get it back on the network. I keep seeing they tell me to open S1 and reset it from there, but when i open S1 app i just get told to open S2 app were i cant do anything about it. 

I can connec it to Spotify or any other app.

The Roam is S2 only, so there is no need to upgrade it to S2.  Is the Roam not showing in your S2 app?  Is it a new Roam, or has it been on your system before?  Do you have any other Sonos devices on your S2 system?

The Roam is only compatible with the S2 app. 

Reset the Roam by following the steps in this article:

Then set up the Roam using the S2 app:
