I have an Bose Cinemate system connected to my tv. I want to connect a Port to this , not for tv sound but to add to my Sonos ecosystem when not watching tv. Will Port allow me to select these speakers and turn on through the app (much like adding or subtracting speakers now) to include with all other speakers and it I unselect, will the sound from tv play independently (not thru port)?

The Cinemate has an amp built in. It has RCA analog in/out as well as an optical in. There are two shelve speakers and subwoofer

The Port will allow you to connect the Sonos speakers to the Bose system. A line out into the Port will allow the sound from the Bose to be heard through the Sonos speakers by grouping them with the Port. A delay between the audio from the Bose and Sonos speakers is unavoidable in this setup.

And a line out from the Port to a line in on the Bose will allow audio from the Sonos speakers to be heard through the Bose speakers when you group the Port with another speaker.

I do not have a Cinemate to test if you can have both a line out and line in connect to the Port at the same time, will cause a loop. But if the Cinimate does isolate inputs and outputs that setup would be ideal.
