Hello does the Sonos AMP have a Mains In, bypassing volume control, that you attach it to existing AV Receiver Pre Outs and drive with the volume on the receiver only?
The Sonos amp has RCA stereo inputs. I could be wrong about this, but wouldn't the ability to control volume with the receiver, depend on the receiver's capability? I would think most receivers would only have line-level output with their preouts, but if it can send different volumes across the line, then I don't see why it wouldn't work.

As a related example, a setup with a Sonos Connect feeding stereo to a 3rd party amp/receiver, you have the option of sending line-level audio or controlling volume with the Connect.
HT Bypass would be the required alternate feature if using RCA inputs.
