I currently am using the line in on my CONNECT but not the line out. Is it possible to hid the CONNECT from room listings (except in settings, of course) so that it doesn't show up as a room selection in the app?

It isn't at the moment, I imagine because when it was designed nobody thought it would be used that way. The best I can suggest is to name it so that it appears at the bottom of your room list, where it might be less of a distraction
I'd also love this feature as I use a CONNECT in the same manner.
Exactly my thoughts. I'm using my Connect together with turntable and the only thing I want from it is Line-In, because I don't have any speakers connected to it.
