Hey,

I have a Play 5 connected to my Pro-ject essential III Phono.

The problem I now have is that I cant listen music with my headphone.

What is the cheapest solution to be able to listen music via headphone?

Its a Audio-Technica wired headphone, so no bluetooth.

is it possible to use a headphone amplifier and put it in between my turntable and play 5?

Will that make it possible to listen my lp's via the headphone?
If you can find a headphone amplifier with both a headphone output and a line output, that would probably do nicely.

Just a cursory search on Amazon: https://smile.amazon.com/Topping-Digital-Amplifier-Wireless-Bluetooth/dp/B01JU9EBME/ref=sr_1_11_sspa?keywords=headphone+amplifier&qid=1562438412&s=gateway&sr=8-11-spons&psc=1
Another, from an incredibly well respected brand, despite mainly being known only in the headphone audiophile community:

Thanks!
Definitely the Schiit Magni 3. It will drive just about anything impedance-wise, and is not shy when it comes to headphones costing several times as much as the amp itself.
I bought the Schiit Magni 3. Thanks guys!
I went cheap, an RCA male to 3.5 mm female stereo converter cable. Volume is not fantastic but for two bucks I have working headphones from any line level source which is a huge troubleshooting helper.
Line level outputs may work for undemanding earphones, but they typically have insufficient current delivery capability for decent headphones.
