Existing Theater Speakers accessible using a PORT?

I’d like to use my existing 9.2.6 theater setup for music via the Sonos app. Can I use the PORT “without” an input device connected (tape deck, record player, etc) as access to play music through (existing) receiver (RCA input connections)? TIA Rob

Yes. The Port would feed a stereo signal to an input on your current amplifier. 

The Port does not have the ability to deal with anything beyond stereo, though.

Yes.  The Port’s output would go to one of the receiver’s inputs.
