Hi there. Can I connect my Beam to the Philips 32PFL7694H/12?? I can't find any info about the specs of the HDMI ports

The manual for that TV implies that there's no ARC HDMI on it, so I'd be looking at connecting it via Optical.
Hi Bruce, thanks for your quick response. Can you please help me on that optical in this case? Remco
Unfortunately, that TV does not have optical out, it has SPDIF Coax. You need a Optical to Coax adapter, in addition to the HDMI to Optical included with the Beam.
Thanx for your answer. Do you think that your advise/solution will be accepted by the sonos beam and the result (the audio) wil be acceptable?

It should be. The actual signal is digital, it's just the method that it's being carried in that changed.
Oops. Hold on. Looking at page 49 does imply that it is EasyLink (HDMI-CEC) enabled.
Here's where the manual lives:

and the manual I'm reading is

But I'm uncomfortable with the fact that they're only talking CEC, and not ARC. So, as jgatie says, you may need to get an adapter, not unlike this one:
https://www.amazon.com/Digital-Coaxial-Toslink-Optical-Converter/dp/B001622FL8
I'm not advocating that one in particular, it's just an example found when looking up coax SPDIF to Optical and clicking on the resulting link to Amazon. There are likely dozens of these devices, you'll need to choose which one meets your needs. But it's that kind of device that would work.

and what does that mean exactly? It's about the HDMI port. Still the coaxial port is to be used as " jgatie" suggests?
I think what I'm suggesting is that you try the HDMI process for the Sonos first, and just be prepared to make a further purchase if necessary. I'm not overly familiar with the who Philips CEC implementation, and whether that includes ARC or not. Perhaps a phone call to Philips might be in order?
yes, I might try that. Good suggestion. Thanx for all the help, to jgatie as well. I will come back here to give the ultimate result.

I talked to Philips and the only possible solution is the SPDIF coax to optical. I'll try that one.
Always helpful to talk to the manufacturer 🙂 Good luck!
