We just moved to a new home. There are four sets of speakers built in with the wires twisted to a single pair into the audio cabinet. Each speaker pair's audio is controlled but a reostat device. I'm sure running all four pair simultaneously would melt a connect:amp but would it work if I turned the volume off for three pair and ran only one at a time?

TIA
Yes, it would work that way, only one speaker would draw current from the amp. You probably could use two amps though, one for two speaker pairs, and run all at the same time. Or use one and run only two pairs at a time.

The amp won't melt if it comes to that; it has protection circuitry that will cause it to shut down.
