Connect two pairs of 4-8 Ohm speakers to Sonos Amp

Hi,

I would like drive two pairs of Magnat Symbol 130 speakers to one Sonos Amp.

The specs. of the speaker says that the impedance is 4-8 ohms.
I asked the company what they meant by 4-8 ohms. They answered as follows:
“the impedance is 4 ohm and they also work in the range between 4-8 ohms.”
Can I get an opinion if connecting two pairs to of these speakers work for my setup or:

  1. Should I stick with two pairs of 8 ohm only speakers
  2. Should I connect these speakers in series instead of parallel

Thanks in advance

Hi @HakanTrkn.

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the community! We’d be glad to help.

Amp works with traditional 8 ohm bookshelf speakers as well as pairs of 6 or 4 ohm speakers.

  • Make sure the impedance rating of your speakers is 8 ohms. Any other impedance rating may cause the Amp to fault.
  • We do not recommend wiring your speakers in series as it will result in poor sound quality.
