 Have you considered the Beam or Arc?  I the Playbaseis now a discontinued product. 

Great idea, I just might love my playbar again.

Some people put an Ikea Lack under their TV.

I don't have my tv wall mounted and my playbar is too high and covers the bottom of my tv, it's driving me nuts!

Perhaps raise the TV up using a universal desktop stand… something like this:

They come in a variety of sizes.

I’ve done that, twice. Both with the wide version of the LACK shelf, and with a pair of the smaller 12” shelves, depending on the type of stand for the TV. Raised the TV just enough so the PLAYBAR (and subsequently Arc) didn’t block the bottom ¼ inch of the TV screen.
