Hello everyone,
In this article you will find an overview of the features we have added to the Now Playing screen, and instructions on where to find them in the app.
Mute Buttons
Mute buttons are available next to every volume slider on the Now Playing banner and screen, and on the Grouping screen.
Sleep Timer
Set up a sleep timer on Sonos so the music automatically turns off after a specified time period. Sleep timers are available in the More Menu on the Now Playing screen.
Queue Controls
You can add a track, album, or playlist to the queue from almost anywhere you see it listed in the Sonos app.
Any time you play a track or an album on Sonos, it’s first added to the queue before it starts playing. Here are some additional options for adding your upcoming tracks to the queue:
- Play Now: Add the track(s) to the queue and play them immediately.
- Play Next: Add the track(s) to the queue after the current track and play them next.
- Play in Another Room: Add the track(s) to the queue in a different room, then play them immediately.
- Add to End of Queue: Add the track(s) to the end of the current queue.
- Replace Queue: Erase the current queue and replace it with the selected track(s).
Volume Controls
You can adjust the current volume of a player, or group, from the Now Playing screen. You set the volume for a player or group from 0 to 100, which represents a percentage of maximum volume.
Clear Playing Queue
You can clear the queue on the Now Playing screen. This will remove all tracks from the queue.
