sonos roam won't connect to system

I have a new sonos roam. It will set up but won't show up on my system. It is a new system with nothing on it. I am using the Sonos app. Both the speaker and my phone are on my 2.4G network. I have tried factory resetting the speaker several times.
 

I'm super bummed since it's brand new. Any advice?

Make sure you check the Sonos Network Requirements FAQ. I’d bet there’s something going on with that 2.4Ghz signal, possibly WPA encryption. You also want to take care about mesh networks breaking the internet signal into separate subnets, all using the same SSID.
