Beam receiving 5.1 but no surround sound

I have my beam connected to my Samsung TV via ARC, and confirmed in the Sonos app that the beam is receiving 5.1 when playing video. However, surround sound is not working with my connected pair of Sonos one SL (surround setup with Sonos app). For more context, I’m using the Netflix app on Samsung TV.

Do the surrounds work when you use any other apps or if you play music?

And is CEC or Anynet +, or whatever Samsung calls it turned on on your TV?
