dolby atmos

I have a Sony X950-h and a Sonos arc. I set the eArc mode on the TV to auto. Now whatever content I play through streaming services it says in the Sonos app that it is playing in Dolby Atmos, even with shows that I know for a fact are not in Atmos. Does anyone know why that is? If I turn the eArc mode off it then displays in the app the true audio however it will only then play Atmos content with Dolby digital plus. I just want to make sure that I am truly getting Atmos with Atmos compatible programs. Thank you!

Be sure Digital Audio Out is set to Auto 1 and set Pass Through Mode to Auto.
