This is a problem which was reported and solved few years ago and now is back. The app should not affect the volume of the phone or at least the user should have the option to control the volume of SONOS from the side buttons of the phone or only opening the app.

Ohhh… there is a setting to allow hardware control of the volume… Found it just now. 😏
