My current system is a older playbar, 300 stereo, play five, one and a move 2.

they all connect well through the app except for the play bar. I’m not able to connect the play bar with the system when I watch TV

can you help?

You may need to update the firmware on the PLAYBAR from S1 to S2. It can run either, but not both simultaneously.

The FAQ is here:

https://support.sonos.com/en/article/update-to-the-latest-sonos-app-using-the-s1-controller

If this isn’t the issue, you’ll likely want to call Sonos Support to discuss it.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

FWIW, the PLAY:5, if it is a gen 2, will also run S2. The gen 1 versions of the PLAY:5 don’t. See

https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/sonos-app-version-compatibility

I currently run S2 on my PLAY:5 gen 2s.

You really need to update your profile equipment list. Mismatch there and above makes us offer guesses, not answers.
