The Sonos app on an Amazon Fire tablet running Fire OS version 7 has limited capabilities. When you open the Sonos app you get the comforting message “App features are limited … Update your mobile devices OS to access all app features”. (Playback is still supported, so that is great!) This is in spite of the fact that Sonos Support appears to indicate that Fire OS 7 is, in fact, a supported OS (https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/sonos-app-requirements). Does anyone know if the Sonos app is FULLY supported on Fire OS 8? Wondering if a new Fire tablet is in order (if OS 8 is supported) or if I need to move to a different product line entirely for my tablets.

Odd, I’d agree with your interpretation (not that there is any interpretation involved) of the FAQ.

Given that, if a reboot of your router, speakers, and controller don’t clear things up, I’d certainly be tempted to call Sonos Support to discuss it.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.
