I have factory reset my old Play 1s, can I now gift these to my daughter to set up in her new home on her own account/wifi network?

They will also disappear from your web equipment list once they are re-registered.

Just gave 2 Play 1s and my old Arc to one of the kids and there was no issue.

Yes, that will work fine. They might take a while to disappear from your app/account though.
