I burned a new album to my music library. I played it several times on that day. The next day, I went to play it from my Windows Sonos app. The app said it had updates. I applied them. With the same playlist on the same speakers as the day before, I went to replay the album. It failed with
Couldn’t play <music library file>.flac. Try again.
I rescanned my music library. That did not help. I tried again and again. That did not help. I waited for a couple of hours and I could start to play the album. I stopped midway through the first song.
Today (two days later) I retried playing that same album on different speakers. I get the same error. I tried other speakers, even the original ones, and I still get the same error again and again.
The only thing that has changed in my system was the Sonos update. Did Sonos break my music library again? Apparently so.
Am I the only one?
update:
I tried replaying the two prior albums from my recently played history. They started to play fine. I then tried replying the new album from my recently played history. It is playing now. What is going on?
