Hey,

Pic is Ai but I have this unit which im thinking of resting arc ultra. Tv will be on wall. My partner does child care so im trying to figure out protection for the arc during day time. I was thinking if building a wooden case to go over it during day time and when it not in use. Anyone got any better ideas.

You may ask why not put on the wall with tv. That leads me to second question.

Im looking for tv to go on a fireplace or pull down tv mount thereby I can pull tv out a bit and lower the height. There are not that many mounts out there with lots only got a few reviews and untested. Anyone know a reasonable price secure/sturdy tv drop down mount. Please note im in UK so mountle mount does not ship to uk unfortunately. Just to add most of the mounts don't do brackets for soundbar too. So if I put soundbar on wall, when I pull down tv it will cover the bar which is a problem.

Thanks all

I would consult a professional installer in your area regarding the Pull Down TV Mount as they may be able to source it. Also, you seem to have more than one issue which is a pull down mount not covering the soundbar. Which again a professional installed may have some ideas.

Logic says to just mount the TV over the fireplace as low as possible. Then build a protective wooden cover for the sound bar during the day.

Use a soundbar mount that doesn't connect to the wall mount, instead attaches to the mounting holes in the TV.

A SoundSkin cover would be my choice for protection. Home-made is also an option.

If you are worried about protecting ARC, how wound you protect the TV screen?

According to the OP the TV screen would be mounted above a fireplace. Therefore the motorized pull down mount if it can be sourced to the UK. Watch the video.

We used a mattress pad, doubled over and sewed into a sheet that could be hung over the screen.

I've seen folks use a framed picture, with padding behind it, that hung over the screen.

My dad's solution, for me, an inverted playpen was rejected as a solution for the new generation.

If the care clients are capable and likely to launch projectiles, an unprotected screen may be vulnerable.

That mantle mount looks to have a soundbar mount integrated, and a big plus a temperature warning indicator to keep from cooking the screen. Nice.

Hey guys

Per picture, the soundbar is on the unit so only 1.5 feet off the ground. The tv will be safe as 4 feet up on wall. Not concerned about projectiles as they don't throw much but the bar is within grabbing distance.

Mantle mount unfortunately do not ship to UK. Shame as they are preferred choice.
