Hi,
you need either SONOS PORT, SONOS AMP, SONOS ERA, FIVE or MOVE 2. Connection direkt to BEAM will not work.
regards Thomas
Sonos with Turntable or Line-In CD etc.
You will need to use a Sonos product that has a line-in port as follows…
- Port/Connect
- Amp/Connect:Amp**
- Five/Play:5 (gen2)**
- Era-100 (requires additional dongle)**
- Era-300 (requires additional dongle)**
- Sonos Move 2 (requires additional dongle)
** Note: If any of the above compatible devices are used as a HT Surround, then their line-in port becomes disabled.
Once the TT is connected it can play to any/all Sonos products
Here are links to the two Sonos dongles that are currently available to use (if required):
This next link is also worth reading as it supplies a lot of good information about using a Turntable with Sonos speakers…

Hi,
thank you for the answers, however I do have some follow up questions to dispel my doubts.
Curently, I use Sonos only in the living room, where I have pair of ONE SL, BEAM gen2, SUB gen2, in this room would like to install the TT
- If I replace pair of ONE’s with pair of ERA100, speaker with in line connection to Ecler. ERA cannot be used as a part of surround sound setup only once TT is connected or at all? I’m not going to use two sources at the same time in this room. Should I unplug inline connection once using it as a part of surround sound?
- If using TT with ERA will it be possible to play music from TT in different room?
- while TT is connected to ERA in my surround setup, will all speakers in the room play from TT or just pair of ERA’s?
- getting AMP is bit pointless if I have external mixer, but I do consider PORT, but while TT is connect to PORT, can I play music from TT in a different room?
Thanks!

When the Era 100s are set as Home Theatre bonded ‘surrounds’ - the line-in port cannot be used as the port becomes disabled.
Either standalone, or stereo paired however, then the Era 100 can then be used with a TT. The audio from the TT can be played on any/every Sonos room.
hi Ken,
So it looks PORT is the way to go for me.
Many thanks for your suport!
Hello, I have the same problem, the Sonos HDMI to optical converter does not work. However, with this little device https://es.aliexpress.com/item/1005006361178787.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.11.1aa3194d1riuUF&gatewayAdapt=glo2esp you connect the line output of the mixer to the sonos converter cable and the beam works . The only problem is that you need 2 HDMI cables, one for the TV and other for the turntable and connect one or the other depending on what you want to listen to.
