Question

Volume control rear speakers

What I would like to do is add a connect and two Play 1 units to serve as rear speakers for my Cambridge Audio analog amplifier and wired front speakers. This means that I would like to connect the Connect to the analog pre-out of my amplifier and play my cd's through my wired speakers and through the Play 1 units simultaneously. It would seem to me that this is possible. Who of you has done something like this?

What I am wondering about is the volume control. Will the volume of the Play 1 units vary with the volume of the pre amp out? Thanks in advance for your advise.

The line-in on the Connect has a 75 ms delay in uncompressed mode, more in compressed. This is not conducive of what you wish to do, unless there is a way to route all sources via the Connect line-in and back out to the analog amp.
