Stereo Pair with Play 5 Gen 2 & Gen 3 possible?

Will I be able to create a stereo pair with the Play 5 Gen 2 and the new upcoming Sonos 5 (Play 5 Gen 3)? If not this would be really frustrating as I just recently bought my Play 5 Gen 2 about 5 months ago.

Unfortunately no.  It was explained that the processors are too different.
