Sonos Roam gets warm during use

Hi everyone!

Today I finally managed to get my hands on the Sonos Roam and so far the experience is been great.

There’s just one thing I’m wondering:

Is it normal for the Sonos Roam to get warm while it is being used? I also own a Sonos Move and it gets warm as well but just in the area in which the amplifier is located. For the Sonos Roam however the warmth can be felt on the almost entire surface of the product.

My Roam gets ‘very slightly’ warm around the battery base area, but only whilst it’s charging. After removal from charge and during playback I haven’t noticed it getting too warm.. no warmer than expected.

I understand you can monitor the battery/temperature by putting the following URL into a web browser attached to the LAN:

http:// <IP Address of Roam>:1400/status/batterystatus
