Play 5 Gen 2 - the 3.5 plug in the back

Bought a Play 5 2nd Gen because it had a 3.5 plug in the back for plugging in either a Bluetooth device, a phone or an iPod (Some advertising says that’s what it’s for).

I wanted to be able to plug in a Bluetooth device, set it up on the app to play thru the device. Once set up to run thru the 3.5 plug, (leaving the device in the plug) then I want to be able to unplug the Play 5, take the Play 5 to another location and plug the Play 5 back in away from the WiFi. Will it still play thru the Bluetooth device still plugged into the back of it or will the electronics reset because it had been unplugged and/or because it’s not near the WiFi?

I asked Sonos about this and they can’t give me an answer to whether it will work or not. Does anyone have an answer?

If you turn Autoplay to 'On' in the Line-In setup before you take it to the location with no WiFi, it will work.

Thank you, jgatie, I’ll try that.
