Has anyone experimented with making Play 5’s into pendant speakers? Trying to engineer a way to mount them as ceiling pendants in a open truss ceiling. I want to hang them from stainless cables about 5 foot long in a restaurant dining room that has about 16’ ceiling height.

I have considered those mounts but they are NOT designed to hold the speaker in a downward facing stance, only at an angle while wall mounted. My other concern is if I could use them in a down ward facing manner would they be balanced enough to mount on cables and remain level. Plus those mounts are perpetually out of stock and at $110 a piece they get expensive quick.
