Move and add Sonos 1 (Gen 2) to join with Beam in same room
I just bought a Beam and a Sonos 1 (Gen 2). Initially I set them up in separate rooms. I have moved the Play 1 to the same room as the Beam as the Left back speaker. I changed the name of it and added it to the group, but it isn't responding to volume controls. How do I make the Sonos 1 (Gen 2) work as a part of a surround sound system? I just ordered another Sonos 1 (Gen 2) to add as the Right back of the same room. I may need setup assistance with that as well. Does anyone have any specific instructions on how to achieve this?

I just answered here. That post talked about Play:1 but applies equally to One Gen2.
By the way, it's not terribly helpful to post the same message in multiple locations. It tends to confuse, and you could end up with no replies.
