full vs. ambient when listening to music?

If you have the full surround (playbar, sub, surrounds), which option do you typically chose when listening to music for the surrounds? Do you go full? Ambient? turn them off completely?

Interested to hear what other prefer, thanks.

Personally, with the Play:1's as surround, I go full as it fills the room perfectly no matter where I sit or walk and I immerse myself in sound 🙂

Same here, Play 1's and set Full

I go for ambient but lift the level. Still find it fills the room well

4 for Full and 1 for Ambient
Relative newbie but I think my answer is it depends. At low volumes when entertaining I like full because it rounds out the room. However when it's time to crank up the volume I like ambient since the sub and playbar fill the room nicely when volume is raised. Bar, sub, play 1 surround

I've just recently added the sub to my line up completing the 5.1 experience and now prefer it on ambient as it's nicely balanced whereas without the sub I had it on full with every setting cranked right up.
