Question

Are there lip sync issues with Playbar for television content?

Does playbar actually work with television content. I have previously tried to connect television audio to the auxiliary device on my sonos system and the buffering creates a lip sync issue. I always assumed that Sonos buffered in order to maintain adjusted synchronization between devices.

I need to delay the visual as my sound is lagging behind the TV picture but the Sonos sync button only provides further sound delay to the default setting (far left of slider). I have my TV speakers turned off to avoid echo & just run the sound through my Sonos Playbar & Play1 surround speakers. I'm using an optical cable. Any ideas how to remedy this issue?

Hi Neil,

yes it does work as the PLAYBAR features an optical line-in which reduces the delay as compared to the analogue line-in connectors of other Sonos Players.
