Duplicated question. You are using the wrong cable.
Hi kumar, yes. accidentally submitted the question but couldn't find a way to remove it.

what do you mean wrong cable?

3.5mm is the same size cable we used for normal headphone? Are the connections the same?
See this:
https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=665
See the magnified view of the 3.5mm jack there.
Also available are cables with 3.5mm plugs on both sides, if both pieces of kit have a 3.5 mm jack.
Maybe you just need to push in the plug harder so that it goes in fully, but you don't want to damage the jack, so be careful and of course, this will not be a good idea if your cable is wrong to start with.
this is the furthest i can insert. however i can fit both side into my phones.
I can't see the jack end - is it the same as the one in the link I sent you? - see the magnified view of the 3.5 mm end and compare it with yours. I suspect yours is not a 3.5mm stereo jack.
i assume its the same. perhaps if any iphone user can advice if their come together ear piece can be fitted into the aux line in nicely then I will know which fault is it?
What is the length? From the base to the tip the one I have is 14mm.
Maybe you need a jack with that length, if yours is longer - I could be wrong, but it appears so. And by base, I mean the place where the 3.5 mm diameter starts, so the length of what gets into the jack should be 14 mm.
