Hey everyone,

I am currently getting my house built and I am having it wired up for 1 set of in-wall, 2 sets of in-ceiling, and 1 set of outdoor speakers. My question is, how many Sonos amps should I run? Also with this set up could I run my playbar as a center channel?

How many different streams do you want to be playing simultaneously?

No, the PLAYBAR has Left, Center, and Right speaker all in the one box. There's no way to run it only as a Center Channel.
Two streams would be ideal, one for in the family/ living room which would have 6 speakers and one for the 2 outdoor speakers.
For two streams, you'd need at least two Sonos Amps to run the speakers. However, 6 speakers of undefined type will be an issue. You should read https://en.community.sonos.com/announcements-228985/introducing-sonos-amp-6812069

If you're planning on running a 4.1 system for a home theater of in-wall speakers, that in itself will require two Sonos Amps, so then you'd need an extra Sonos Amp for the outside speakers.
I’m planning on using the new Sonos architecture speakers that were just released as well as their outdoor ones

None. Dont buy Sonos. You will regret it.

Why? What do you use or suggest if not Sonos? I have every Sonos speaker so far and I have never been disappointed
