If I understand everything correctly I can connect my Beam with a Connect:Amp. Does it matter if this Connect:Amp is gen 1 or gen 2?
I use the Beam via my TV (HDMI ARC) if that would matter.

View originalYou mean as surround speakers, as in the setting up Amp or CONNECT:AMP as surround speakers FAQ? Or do you mean grouped, rather than surround speakers? If so, just be aware that there is a slight delay between the TV input in your Beam, and grouped rooms (not surrounds). That delay is not there when playing music.
If you are currently running S2 it will matter whether the C:A is gen 1 or gen 2, because a gen 1 Connect:Amp cannot be added to an S2 system.
