Can I use two One speakers by my bed for sound if I have Ray sound off?

I have set up an TV in my bedroom. The room is large and I would like speakers closer to my bed so I don’t wake up chidren. Can I use a Ray soundbar turned low/off and have two One speakers next to the bed (left and right)?

You can group them with the Ray and turn the Ray down, but the grouped speakers will be delayed for TV sources, which may cause lip sync problems.  You could also add them as surrounds, but that will give surround effects on the Ones, and the volume will be linked to the Ray.
