I have a couple of Sonos devices with Alexa built-in for the Living Room, however because not all features are supported yet (drop-in, guard, communications) I also have an Echo Dot in the room too which also seems to be more reliable in terms of understanding my voice. When I ask Alexa something whilst listening to music the volume drops (ducks) on my Sonos devices so that the Echo Dot can hear me - however when the input is TV the volume doesn't duck and it can sometimes be difficult for the Echo Dot to hear me over the TV.If I have the mics turned on with the Alexa-enabled Sonos device the volume does duck, however, due to the reasons above I’d prefer to use my Echo Dot. Is there any chance Sonos can adjust the behaviour with ducking please (or at least give users the option) to support users like me?
Sorry if this question has been ragged before, is anyone having better luck with adding google assistant to Sonos One (S2 app)? I can link Alexa fine, but trying to link google assistant is fruitless and it keeps going around in circles trying to connect.I heard it might be an iPhone issue? I don't have any android devices to try and connect it with. I was given hints that the S2 app would solve this problem, as Sonos was aware of the specific issue but it hasn't seemed to have changed anything at all..
I have had successful alexa and sonos integration for some time. Multiple ‘native’ alexa devices (spots, fireTV) and multiple sonus devices (tv sound bar & sonos 5’s) and a mixed sonos move device. Everything worked fine until a few days ago -- when I ask alexa to play my flash briefing I get time and day then “here is your flash briefing” then silence. Similarly when I ask alexa to shuffle my spotify playlist I get “Here is music from spotify” and then silence. I have powered down/up, logged out of amazon/alexa accounts and back in, deregistered services and re-registered,...still nothing.
I have a Question to ask , one of my customer has bought Sonos Amp with some 3rd party in celling speaker, now he is asking can we connect Alex to Sonos Amp if yes ? then how and if no then why. Kindly request can anyone please help with this query. Thanks !!!
Is there a way to conect the Viviant door camera to the sonos speakers and use them as a door bell. Their system does not connect to the doorbell. So being a wireless system I wanted to know if you thought of connecting your product to viviant or if you would think about working on that project. Thanks for all the years of great sounds… Keep up the good work!JW
I am not sure if this is a bug, part of the lawsuit or what.I have a Nest Audio.I have Sonos Connect Amp powering two outdoor speakers.Sonos is linked to my Google Home. From the Nest Audio, I can tell it to change songs. That is it.It seems it no longer adjusts the volume. It also will no longer play a different artist. For example, if I am listening to Van Halen, if I say "Ok Google, Play Pantera on Pool Radio", it says it can't do that on this device. If I say "OK Google, Next song", that works.Trying to change volume as I said, does not work anymore either. On my phone, if I say "OK Google, play Van Halen on Pool Radio", it will work.Is there something with the Nest Devices that is now broke or a bug?I removed the sonos, readded it, reauthorized YouTube Music. nothing. I tried a second Nest Audio, same thing. It will not do "Ok Google, Play "artist" on Pool Radio".Seems it is just related to the Nest Audio.
I have a Beam and two One SL in a surround setup in my living room, and I’m considering adding a One for my kitchen which is in the other part of my apartment. My question is if I will be able to use Google Assistant in the One as well, or can Sonos only handle one microphone in a setup, even though the microphones are in different rooms?
Allow assignment of another device(Sonos one) in the Arc HT setup to be a Google assistant. The arc is located in the living room. Most of the time, I need to use the Google assistant in my Sonos one which were configured as surround in the HT setup.Pls assist with feature upgrade to support assigning a diff speaker for Google assistant.Thx.
Sonos devices are becoming increasingly popular in Russia. Sellers widely advertise the ability to manage Google Assistant as a competitive advantage. However, they do not say that Google Assistant is not available in Russia. I found out about this only after the purchase and this may be not only a reason for a refund, but also a lawsuit. There is no point in selling devices with a voice assistant in Russia, since it is not supported. Customers pay money for voice control but can't use it
I have. 5 Sonos One devices around the house. They suddenly all showed offline. After trying a number of things, I ended up completely eliminating all devices from Alexa, disabled the Sonos skill, hard reset every Sonos. I confirmed that there were not Sonos devices or groups set up in Alexa. All of my Sonos devices are back online. I have linked music services and they all operate. Or rectory through the Sonos app. HOWEVER, Alexa Voice will not activate on any of the devices. When I choose the device, then log in to Amazon, it attempts to load voice on the device. This is where it stops. I get an error that says “! There was a Problem”. help?
Hi, I'm looking in to buy a Sonos play 5, currently I have a couple of Google assistant smart speakers. I was wondering if I could pair/sync them with a Sonos play 5 so that I can play the same music across devices or play only on certain devices. Thanks for your help.
We have a Sonos One and a Sonos SL paired in stereo, these are controlled with commands by an Amazon Echo Dot. This set up has been working perfectly for a long time now, but the other day it started to play up, on asking Alexa to play for example Radio 2, it would only play it on the Echo dot and not the Sonos. Nothing had been changed in the set up, we unplugged the Sonos speakers and echo dot rebooting them a few times, that didn’t work. I didn’t set the system up, we got someone in to do it, but hes no longer available. We switched them on this morning and they are sort of working again, but before when we gave the echo dot an instruction the reply always came via the Sonos speakers, it now comes from the eco dot and not the speakers, ie... Alexa play radio 4, echo dot replys playing BBC Radio 4, and the station comes through on Sonos speakers about 6ish seconds later. Any idea why this has changed and how to get it back to previous set up. I really like the Sonos Sound but not t
Hi Just purchased the play one to go with my system. I had alot of trouble just getting through the google assistant app with my ph, so used my tablet. So eventually I got to ask the speaker to play some music. Low and behold the only replies came from my tablet and mobile that were in the same area. The only response from the speaker was that there has been an issue somewhere and to try in a few seconds. Now, even the speaker doesnt activate when I say, hey google let alone find any music or information. Its now just a speaker within my system.
I’ve just switched from Alexa to Google Assistant on my Sonos devices. Previously I could for example “stop bedroom music” spoken to any Sonos device, and it would stop the music currently playing on the device ‘Bedroom’ With GA, it only controls the music on the device I speak to, regardless of me specifically stating Bedroom. Am I missing something? I assume GA can do this?!
Trying to ask Google to play Pandora staton, but it tells me it looks like I have to log in again on this media provider
I only use Pandora as my music streamer, and I can use it when making requests in the Sonos app on my phone, but when I try the “Okay Google” verbal request, it acknowledges my question, but tells me that “It looks like you have to log in again to this media provider.” I’m logged in everywhere I can find. So I’m not sure where it’s wanting me to log in again.
