Drama setting up my vinyl.
I have volume but everything seems to have a really tinny sound, almost a slight vibration, voices seem to fade in and out.
I have a Pro-Ject III Essential Turntable connected to this Preamp

then an RCA "y" cable to 3.5 plug into my Sonos Zoneplayer S5 (play5 Gen1) input line.
I have the speaker and turntable on different surfaces to avoid any vibration, I have changed my line in source level to no avail.
Its driving me crazy.
Am I missing something simple

Hi Steeno,

Welcome to the community. Please double check to make sure your audio cable is fully plugged into the Play:5. If it's only part way in it can sound like you've described.

If that doesn't do the trick, test out the line-in on the Play:5 with a different device, such as your smart phone. Does it sound better, or the same?

Hi Jeff
I have done this but I will triple check everything again today to make sure and i will also try an alternative device. Appreciate the reply.
