Which 5ghz channel does the sub use?

I just received my Sub, and as many other people I got disconnects between the Sub and Playbase.

Before calling Sonos Tech, I want to try some things myself, and the first option that I want to dive into my own 5Ghz network.

As fas as I know,  the Sub and Playbase communicate via an ad-hoc 5ghz channel, and I want to be sure that that ad-hoc channel does not interfere with my own 5ghz network. Maybe its a useless thing to try, but at least I want to do it.

How can I see or set the Frequency the PlayBase and Sub are using for talking to each other?

I think you can see the 5 GHz channel from the internal website data.

Replace 0.0.0.0 with your Playbase IP

http://0,0,0,0:1400/status/proc/ath_rincon/status

 

You can also get connection and noise info from the network matrix.

That says HT (Home Theather??) channel 5700. If that means channel 57 on the 5ghz band, I want to change this, because thats in the DFS range (At least where I live, The Netherlands).

Or does it mean 5.7Ghz?

Any idea if this is possible?

I don’t believe there’s any way for a user to change the channel in use to communicate with the SUB or the surrounds, all of that is handled programmatically, and not exposed to the user (as you figured out, having to search for that data in the first place). The system is supposed to check to see what is least congested, and choose whichever channel will be best.

I believe that is the frequency being used in GHz:

Home channel is 2462 (channel 11)

HT Channel is 5220  (channel 44)

 

Looks like 5700 is channel 140.

After being 5700 for some time, its now 5680. But still dropouts. In a few weeks I an going to rearrange my room, and then I will see again.
