Volume on Play 5 will not work from either app or on the Play 5

I have recently found that the volume for some rooms will not work either down or up on either the app or from the top of the Play 5.

This is not a fault with the unit i.e. broken Play 5.

I control the Sonos from both the app and through Alexa. I can get it back by unplugging the Sonos and plugging back in this resets the product on the system and then back to normal for a while. This is not specific to any room and seems to be random. I suspect that this is to do with the interaction between the Sonos and Alexa.
