volume jumps to 50 every few minutes


Weird issue. Randomly, every few minutes, the volume on our playbar jumps to 50 - mid point - and must be turned back down.  This happens whether we are watching TV (apple tv or direct) or listening to Spotify. The Playbar is not connected to any voice services. I’ve done the unplugging thing, system updates, etc.   Any ideas appreciated.

Next time it happens, submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it. There’s nothing I can think of in Sonos software that might do this, although it ‘might’ be connected to an outside process, such as an IR remote system (such as Logitech) or some home automation process…but the diagnostic would suggest where the volume change command is coming from. 

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the phone folks, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and network.

Thank you Bruce.  I will try that.  Not easy for me to get time to come home and call tech support during the week.  Wish they had weekend hours…

Yea, it does make life more challenging, for sure. I have that same issue with my doctor’s office.
